I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience or have any good information about the SilverFlute speakers at Madisound? From the spec and Freq response on the website these look like some pretty nice wide-range woofers...

I have built a MTM TL (Daline) with :
- 2 pieces Silver Flute W14RC-25-08 - 1 Seas 27TAFC/G (H883) These little woofers are really amazing for the price... I mostly listen acoustic music and jazz trio and I am very happy with these speakers. And if you watch to this page : W14RC-25-08 You will see that the Madisound charts aren't so smoothed... |

I've been thingking about MTM Silverflute W17RC38-S for greater bass and for AV spaker bookshelf or floorstand. sealed for bookshelf or vented for floorstand.
Or for high volume bass for rock and metal lover, a MTM silferflute W20 vented floorstand... Anyone ever build MTM W17 or W20 ? |

lionel,do you feel like sharing your mtm tl design with us.i have a bunch of the w14rc2508's and have been looking for a good design for them in a tl but don't have the konwledge to start from scratch.
i do have the w17rc08 in a mtm with 27tdfc and am very pleased with them. the w20rc i have not had much luck with.i've tried mtm, mt and wmt with very little results.the best i could figure is they have to be crossed very low and have weak bas responce.but again this could be my lack of speaker building skill glen |
