According to Bradbury's Fiber Equations:
http://www.t-linespeakers.org/projec...ury/index.html and other posts I've read here, Miraflex is one of the best enclosure stuffings you can use. Yet I can't find it anywhere. Owens Corning lists Lowe's and 84 Lumber as having it in my area, but when asked, the stores said they'd never heard of it, nor was it in their special order book. What gives? |

Ok I broke down and called them. They said it's been discontinued! Argh..
After some more searching I came across this site: http://www.greenresourcecenter.org/M...glassInsul.php which talks about greener insulations and says there are two makers of the stuff- Owens Corning and Johns Manville. JM's site has this: http://www.jm.com/insulation/buildin...esidential.htm It appears that any of the formaldehyde-free "acoustical" brands they make may be just like Miraflex! They list Home Depot as having it. Anyone tried it? I'm headed off to Home Depot to take a look. |

How much do you need, I have some Miraflex I'm not using and it seems we are pretty close.
John PS Did you go to the FL DIY a couple weeks ago? |
