Money, money, money - what's your budget?

The larger the baffle is, the lower and louder the bass will go (but never any louder than if it was a monopole speaker). Ideally, you'd cross at or below 80Hz, but since it's a small 2-way, you won't have enough output at that frequency, so the subs might have to go up to 100Hz-150Hz. Of course, this could change, depending on how loud you listen to music. The higher you cross, the more important sub positioning becomes.

Are you constrained to a 2-way system because of space requirements?

i have a low powered tube amp for the small 2-way dipole.

probably run a powered sub for rest.

i am just looking for what frequency i should cross a sub and my monitors over at to determine baffle width of the small 2-ways.

also need to determine what drivers i want to use...
