Transmission line stuffing question
My question is, does the inside walls of the line need to be smooth? I sprayed a couple layers of damping compound on all the inside surfaces which resulted in a very rough surface. Now it seems overstuffed when I apply what should be the correct amount of stuffing. Could this surface texture be the cause of this. Thanks for any insights.
Nah, the damping gook and roughness can only help things. Sounds like you have too much stuffing. I don't know that there is a 'correct' amount.
Without knowing any details about your TL's, it's tough to make a suggestion, but start by removing the stuffing from the final 1/3 of the line, and reducing density in the rest.
