Unhappy new cables, weird results

I just finished my DIY cat5 cables from VHaudio today and was excited to listen to them.

My problem is my right channel is very much stronger then my left. my reciever has outputs for two different pairs of speakers, and i switched them up and i got the same results.

I am very sure that i did not get any of the + mixed with the - or vice versa.

If i turn the balance about 3/4 of the way to the left the channels become equal.

Anyone know what the problem could be??? cables, reciever???

Measure:

1) Resistance of wires
2) Resistance of speakers
3) Voltage at output terminals of amp with load connected
4) Voltage across speakers

Under 1 ohm resistance, lower is better.

Sounds ok,

How is your impression of your new cable?
Does THAT sound ok?

All of those values are the same for both speakers/wires? It doesn't sound like anything's wrong... Though I wonder if you tested the voltage with the amp off? That's a pretty low voltage. (Or maybe you had the amp like one step from quietest?)

I got the problem fixed, it was the cd, must have been a bad burn or something.

I turned the volume up to normal listing volume and got .33V at the reciever
