Default Horn Resp Help

Im trying to model a 40hz folded horn for the Dayton 295-310. I cant seem to figure it out right. My responce rolls off very sharply at 80hz. Can someone model this for me? Im doing a T/L for this driver also, and i want to compare. Thank you!

http://www.partsexpress.com/pdf/295-310z.txt

There are the Clio T/s Parameters. Thanks guys!

Post your horn design (a screen shot of the hornresp input screen would work well), and then maybe people can point out why it's not working.

Mmmm, the T/S parameters in that text file don't match what is displayed on the PE site for that driver. Due to D=162mm in the text file, I would say it is the wrong info. Something that is not specified in either location is Sd, which Hornresp requires.

Find the correct complete specs, and modelling will be much easier.

Cheers
Graeme

?? This is about right for an 8" driver, which the 295-310 is, so Sd = ~206.12cm^2.

Ahh, therefore D= cone diameter ? .... not really a standard T/S parameter.

However, using GM's Sd calculation, a quick rip up gives the following result - assuming corner loading, and could be tweaked further (but a starting point)

Cheers

Apparently, at least it works for the listed BL/Mms/Cms specs. I'm not familiar with CLIO so just assumed it was one of its programmer's idiosyncrasies.
