I recently built a couple set of loudspeaker enclosures....
set 1: Vifa xg18 and Vifa DX25TG tweeter Set 2: Vifa P17WJ and Vifa DX25TG tweeter The loudspeaker souns great and Im pleased with all the help you guys have provided. One question though...I am lacking low end bass, and am looking to fill the gap....I want to keep the driver a Vifa.....Does anyone of a Vifa driver that will perform well in the low end bass section...Im going to build a seperate enclosure for it....I also do not want to go bigger than a 8 inch or 10 inch woofer....any ideas??? |

for the 10" size I'd recommend (I have a couple) the M26WR-09-08 (provided you are happy putting it in a vented enclosure.

I'f you've got to keep it Vifa, here's something new at Madisound: the Vifa MA26WR-09-04. It has a metal cone, cast frame and incredibly deep bass in a 1.5 cu ft enclosure. Xmax is decent, at least by Vifa woofer standards. Low efficiency is the tradeoff for the bass depth. Nobody is going to have much to say about these since they are a new addition to the Vifa line. They look interesting though.

Those look like the woofer in the Totem Acoustics "Thunder" subwoofers.

I just finished up a small design using the HiVi B3S. It sounds incredible. It blows away the Blose. (not hard to do that I supoose) I hooked up an 8" sub and watched Matrix Reloaded tonight, and then listened to music for 2 hours after that. I don't know if it's the couple drinks I had, but these sound like a winner. Just have to find some time to write up the web page. HIVIB3S System Quote:
