Spent the last couple days trying various ways to shoehorn a Vifa MG18WK09 in the door of my car, I've decided to admit defeat.
The mounting depth on the Vifa was 3", so I need something in 4ohms that is at least 2.5" I think. Otherwise I might have to go with a 5" (which I don't want to do) or just go with a commercial system. Thought I saw some woofers a little while back that had an inverted design so it had a very small mounting depth. Can't remember brand name at all though. |

if you can find some illusion audio mids you'll have what you're looking for. They're supposed to be some of the best sounding mids out there, although they're not known for their output. They're kinda rare though. DLS drivers are pretty slim I think, and Directed made a slim 8" if you can fit the diameter.
