Hello,
I need help on modelling the ports in MJK’s worksheets. How does one model the opening size for a port, that opens at the end of the closed line, into an open rectangle ? An example is the “Peerless pipes” by Bob Brines. The opening is a rectangle of size 1 ľ” x 9” width. With ľ” panels, the volume is 11.82 cu.in. Would that be a circular opening of 2.24 inches, if I used the “Ported box” or “ML-TQWT” worksheets ? Thankyou, sunil |

If you are doing a continuous taper use the ML-TQWT sheets... the important thing about the port is its area & length -- within reason, its shape makes little difference to the modeling.
Think of the port as a restricted terminus -- in the sections worksheet you would just decrease the x-section of the last section. dave

Dave,
With a continuous taper & the ML-TQWT can I terminate the line into an opening, keeping the "port length" the tkness of the cabinet & adjust the rectangular opening as required. sunil |
