I have the components to build a set of Buschhorns. All the detailed construction sites I've seen use Birch Ply. Although MDF is nasty stuff to work with, I find it very easy to cut with my table saw. I've built several sets of speakers and used MDF for all. I also like to veneer them and MDF makes it easy to apply exotic veneer. Is there something about ply that is preferred for fullrange driver based horns?
