Bipole into Dipole?

I have a set of bipolar rear speakers in my home cinema.

Would it be as easy as unscrewing one of the drivers (the rear facing one) on each of the speakers and reversing the polarity, thus making them out of phase and turning them into Dipoles?

Stupid question I know, but I feel like experimenting.

What sort of sound differences will there be?
