I've been testing zobels this afternoon, and have two candidates. I'll attach the impedance measurements of both here.
I'm leaning toward the top one, as it has a much smaller capacitor and I think it will be kinder on my amp, although the bottom one is more progressive. I could I guess go with something in between too. Tony. edit just for info, this is two morel MW144's running in parallel, each in it's own sealed enclosure. Oh and at this stage I'm thinking of crossing somewhere between 2 and 2.5Khz |

anyone? here ---> http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...617#post563617
is the impeadance plot before compensation. is the flat (for a while) phase in the first graph preferable to the continually changing phase in the second? I'm getting very confused about the difference between electrical and acuoustic phase... Tony. |

Thanks Bill,
I assume because it is a smoother curve with no step? It is certainly much more like the impeadance comp examples I have seen. Tony. |
