vifa pairing

I have a pair of Vifa P17Sj woofers laying around....(#297-308)

I was wondering if the Vifa DX25TG's (#264-578) would be a good match for them??.
After reading and researching I have come up with these tweeters as being a good match ...am i right?


IN case you guys want to glance at the specs..

P17(woofer): 40-5K...87db
DX25Tg(tweeter): 2K-40K....Fs: 650Hz....93.5db

let me know if Im learning this stuff correctly before i start building...
Also if u think theres a better tweeter for the job that Vifa makes.... let me know....thanks guys....(any crossover point suggestions)...i was thinking between 2.7K and 3K???

Looks ok to me

rather than just looking at the posted freq response range, it's allways good to look at the freq response curves too.

You can see here when looking at the two that there is a good overlap between the two drivers if crossing around 2.7K as you have indicated though I'd be considering crossing a bit lower than that, as the off axis on the mid bass starts to get worse at around 2K (and the tweeter should be able to handle a 2K crossover).... and the other thing is that there are no nasty frequency response peaks which should make the job of making a crossover that much easier.

You will need to pad the tweeter down (with an L-PAD) quite a bit, but that's no major problem
