Anyone have a Idea for Dayton rs180 and the vifa dx25tg?

probably not too bad a match (except you will need to pad the tweeter down quite a bit unless you parallel up two daytons to get better efficiency (you will still probably need to pad it but not as much). The daytons are 8 ohms 87.6db and the tweeter is 4 ohms 93.5db so you have a huge difference there! by paralleling up two you should bring it within 3db of the tweeter (I think!!!).
You would need to cross the dayton over fairly low (2Khz max IMO) and the vifa should handle that fine. The dayton has some very nasty spikes in it's upper freq response which will be quite difficult to deal with IMO. If this is a first project, take care unless you can find a design using the same drivers Tony. |

My plan is to using a resistor in series with the tweeter,then design a crossover to that. There are crossover designs for rs180 out there, I might use one of those |
