Default looking for true coaxial drivers.

I am looking for some coaxial driver to build a new set of speakers. So far the only ones I have seen that look halfway decent are the selenium 15" coaxial drivers. I would like to know what else is out there though.

While I am on the subject do you guys feel the way that I do. That is that coaxial drivers are the best comprimise between full range and 2 way speakers?

The drivers made by the Spanish manufacturers Beyma and DAS are interesting.

Since you are from the U.S. these drivers might also be interesting for you:

There are several interesting looking and affordable coaxial Drivers from P.Audio.

Then you can get the Alnico Magnet Tannoy 15" Drivers from the Canterbury and Westminster Royal (they are back to the superior sound pepper-pot waveguide, basically modern replicas of the Red/Gold Tannoys) for around 750 UP Pound each or bid on E-Gay on a variety of Tannoy Drivers I'd recommend only the Gold or Red NOT the HPD (High Performance Dual) and DEFINITLY NOT the "Super Red" and "Super Gold" Drivers.

There are also Altec 604's on E-Gay which usually are worth having.

Finally, why not roll your own Coax? Take a fountek or aurum cantus 3" Ribbon, build a vestigal waveguide for it and mount it on a good sounding 15" (Pro?) Driver with the dustcap removed. If you have a Driver with a vented polepiece you can use that hole tu run the wires and attache the Ribbon.

I have a sneaky suspicion that such an arrangement done well may outperform any of the more common Pro-Audio Coaxials, especially if you can get hold of the right woofer....

Yes, I feel so. My personal favourites are 8 - 10" Fullrange Drivers and Big Coaxials. All else is pretty much pants, short of really big horn systems.
