Default Very large arrays

I know someone must have mentioned this already, but what about using a very large array of tiny speakers, so that it would work well for an OTL tube amp driving them in series?

Well you cannot run the plate current through the voice coils, so you still need a large hunk of iron as a plate choke and a coupling capacitor. You could use a resistor instead of a plate choke and throw away efficiency and tonal magic. The array has potential if you can get around inherent lobing issues.

Why not? What if a transconductance amp is used, with the output tubes serving as current sinks, with speakers between their plates and the regulated B+?
