Texas Instruments/Burr Brown do a mic pre-amp IC type INA217 which could be just the thing for a dedicated measuring mic pre-amp. It has balanced input, very low noise and a wide, flat response. They give some applications circuits in the data sheet.
I have used these for sound recording and got good results but for measuring dutys I use an unbalanced Panasonic capsule with a very stable pre-amp, rectifier and averaging circuit of my own design. |
