Default 3 way croosover.

First if all I am building a 3 way loudspeaker system. It houses a 8" subwoofer, a 5" mid, and 1" tweeter...They are each enclosed in their own chamber.....For this i have 2 questions...

1) Is there a design or schematic of an adjustable 3 way crossover that I can build or buy for this type of system....Im familiar with car audio crossovers (mainly Audio Control) that allows you to adjust a dial to fine tune the crossover seperately for the woofers, mid, and tweeter. Is there anything close to this for Home audio?......The schematic would also be nice too so i can create a simple 3 way crossover and house it in the cabinet...the ultimate answer would be a 3 way adjustable crooosver that i can incorporate in the cabinet design.

2) Ive noticed that the plate amplifiers on Parts Express have crossver adjustments built in on the plate....Can I put a plate amplifier for the subwoofer and a 2 way crossover for the mid and tweet....If so, where can I find a schmetic for a 2 way crossover...(prefrably an adjustable 2 way crossover..

If i can purchase these crossvers I would benefit little more...

Im not sure if what Im asking for is possible or feasible, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks again guys.

Check out sound.westhost.com, lots of speaker & crossover designs. Very useful.

After you've read everything there, here's another nice page on active/adjustable crossovers:

I'm not sure whether by adjustable you mean the crossover freqency is adjustable, or whether you mean adjustment of the levels of the drivers compared to each other. If you just mean level adjustment (ie how loud each driver sounds compared to the others) you could have a look at Lpads.
