Default TL direct on wall

I am building af flat TL-speaker for direct mounting on the vall.

Dimentions; Width=55mm, Height=120mm, debht=10mm.

Start area around 300cm2 and end area around 200cm2. Bass unit (Vifa M21MO-39-08) has area 235cm2 and Fres´= 28Hz. Lenght of tunnel is around 235cm.

For stuffing I will use pure wool.

I think i will need lean bass for wall mounting, is a liniar tunnel better than a tapered?

Comments on the design?

Tapered is still superior, especially if the bass driver extends up the range a bit. (less ripple in the response)

Use the stuffing to tune the line, think of the stuffing as resonance control, if the line sounds too "fat" pack more stuffing in the line, if it sounds too "thin" remove some.

Thank you...

Do I need any attention regarding the backwall behind the woofer. There is only 10cm from the unit to the backwall....

Use a layer of thick foam directly behind the driver, that should handle most reflection issues, for a mid bass driver a shallow depth is actually good since it pushes potential standing wave issues out of the pass band.
