ok.. i have 4 10inch drivers. 9mm xmax etc..
not too bad really. I need opinions on building a sub to pair with some FE167E ML TQWT i will be building. should I pair them up and build 2 seperate subs for both channels? If so... in what config? push / pull , isobarik? also.. i think i want to minimize size of the enclosure if possible. driven by 1 or 2 plate amps (maybe 125W a piece). thoughts?

Depending on the alignment you wish to use, these drivers require a large box. So a standard two in a box, push push, push-pull or whatever will need a lot of real estate in your room.
I would recommend Isobaric push pull, this will reduce the box size by half and keep all the benafits of using push pull. Either ported or sealed will go low. Sealed Qtc of 0.7 requires a box of 43.1 litres for one driver. If you want critically damped (Qtc 0.5) you need a box of over 100 litres, 126. This is per driver so in an isobaric you would need a box of 126 litres for the two drivers in a Qtc 0.5 box. This is pretty large. A ported box might be a better idea but you need long ports to tune low and id make the box about 55-65 litres and tune to about 22hz. This need a port of about 7cm diameter at 33cm long. If you make this isobaric you wont need to alter any of this because you still have the same amount of internal air being shifted via the rear of the 1st cone. However in a non Iso you will need to make the port wider to keep windspeed down because you now have two drivers.

so with that in mind, should i put them in series and parallel and would a 100W amp be adequate per channel?
Should I fire the drivers down or forwards? Thanks!

If the amp can handle a 4ohm load, then wire then in parallel. If not series, there is nothing stopping you trying both mind you, and seeing which one you prefer.
As far as I can see a hundred watt into 8ohms would be fine, although Id prefer to use a 200 just for more headroom. Drivers forwards or down, depends how you make the thing, drivers forwards suggests to lengthen the life of the drivers because over time the suspensions wont drift, however down couples the drivers to the floor which has its benafits too.

one option (based on 831727 i had about 7-8 yrs back) would be a 3 chamber bandpass. 2 sealed chambers of 45 liters each and a center ported chamber of 30 liters. i had built 2 of these to be mated with a pair of Gemini (Dynaudio). XOed at 80Hz they were used as stands for the gemini and integrated well.
