Hi all,
Q. which type of alnico is fitted to the HPD range of Tannoy coaxials?
Q. Are the earlier versions fitted with the same grade of alnico?
Q. what loss over a few decades can one expect of Tannoy's magnet grade?
I have just looked up www.magnetsales.com that prompted this thread.
regards Andrew T.

Providing they've not been dropped or abused by running hot for long periods of time, whatever the magnet manufacturers say. The Tannoys are very nicely made and engineered, ie not cheaply.Q. what loss over a few decades can one expect of Tannoy's magnet grade?
BTW, Reds and std Golds sound better then HPDs. I've had them all.
