Default Cornwall trade for Forte in Florida

Hi

I have a set of Klipsch Cornwalls I would like to trade even up for a pair of Klipsch Forte's.

Cornwalls seem to go for only a smidge more on ebay, so an even trade is fine by me.

These are the older late 70's speakers with the more desirable alnico woofers.

They are finisted in cherry, with an oak-type wood grain. The cabinets are in decent shape, with a few small nicks here and there, but minor. I can send pictures to anyone interested.

The grills are included, and one of the grills is missing the Klipsch logo.
The grills stay on, but need new fasteners. I stapled hook/loop fasteners onto them, but they need ones glued on.

I love these speakers, but they are simply too large for any position in my house. They seem effortless, and completely fill the room with balanced, quick, detailed music. They're not imaging monsters, but I didn't seem to notice. I think if I had them further apart, the imaging would be much better, after a cursory listen with them a little wider and toed in.

I've done the only mod which seems to be recommended; I've wrapped a mortite cord around the midrange drivers to stop resonance vibration, and it seems to work well. Voices lost a bit of that edge they sometimes had before the mod. I pressure wrapped the mortite with saran wrap and then duct tape to keep the mortite from eventually coming away from the horn sides. The tape does not touch the horn surfaces.

I also bypassed the crossover oil cap with a russian teflon .05, but I'm not sure if I hear any difference there. I suspect the mortite is the real tweak.
Both these mods are easily removed, if desired.

I'm interested in Forte's they are a bit smaller, and should be more managable. They seem to be Paul's last design. They also have the last of the exponential mid-range horns.
I suspect they don't have alnico woofers, but so be it.

I'm looking for Fortes (not II's), preferably finished in birch, cherry, or walnut. Fair cabinet condition is ok with nicks, etc, but no holes, veneer coming off, or water damage.

These are for pickup/exchange only. I will not ship these.
I live in Daytona Beach, and can meet somewhere in Florida within a 150 mile or so radius of the Daytona Beach area, which covers most of Florida, and part of Georgia, if both of us travel it.
I can't meet anyone 150 miles out to sea, so a partial radius is probably a more prudent thing to say.

BTW, these weigh over a hundred pounds together, and are quite large. A pickup or van is required to transport these.

I'm posting here, as I really don't want to do the ebay thing on these.

Thanks
