Default Reccomend me a driver

Hi,

I have a bkelec 500wrms panel amp which is currently driving a 15 inch car subwoofer. It sounds loud but lacks in sound quality. I want to retain the loudness of my sub bass system (for showing off) but also want more sound quality. Can you please reccomend some drivers priced £150 - £250. Also websites if possible.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Just out of interest, which would sound louder - a £200 home subwoofer or a £200 car subwoofer if the specs were similar and both were being used in a home system?

Default car woofer or home woofer for home use

i have tryed all types of car woofers from the cheap to the absurdly expensive
most car woofers are all frosting and no cake. They are meant to look snazzy and go in a box built ussually to make boom bass instead of realistic bass,at the same time a good woofer for home would not do well in a car because it requires a presise box. The nice thing about car woofers is that there are so many which means they can be blown out on sale for very little money. They a re fun to play with and there are probably some out there that would do well at home.

Can't go wrong with an Adire Audio Tempest.

A (better) alternative is the TC Sounds TC2+.
