For my mini monitor speakers, I will need to use some BAF/dacron stuffing.
The crossover is mounted inside the box, so the BAF might come iin contact with the resistors. Is this a bad thing - could this cause problems? I'm thinking of melting or getting on fire? I tested on a piece of BAF with a cig lighter, and it melts rather easely, even catches on fire... |

If the resistors get hot enough to melt the dacron, they're under-rated. Increase the wattage rating and you won't have a problem.
