Positive Reinforcement When Driver Centers Are One Wavelength Apart At Crossover?

We are building a two-way system with a Peerless CSX 10" woofer and a Peerless 811815 tweeter.

We plan to cross over at 1800 or 1900 Hz.

The centers of the woofer and tweeter are 7.25" apart-approximately one wavelength at 1800 or 1900 Hz, the crossover frequency.

I have done some measurements that seem to indicate that there is positive re-inforcement when the drivers are one wavelength apart at the crossover frequency.

We are attempting slopes of 12 dB/octave each side. Actually, we are thinking of letting the woofer just roll off and use the 12 dB/octave on the tweeter. We would consider 6 dB/octave on the tweeter, but are afraid to have a tweeter that crosses over as low as 1900 Hz with a 6 dB/octave slope. Afraid we might blow the tweeter.

Does having the driver centers one wavelength apart at crossover frequency result in positive reinforcement? If so, how do we handle it-have each driver cross over one quarter wavelength short of 1900 Hz?

This question is related to the question of a hole in the response of a 12dB/octave, (both sides) crossover. The plan is to have the positive reinforcement from the one wavelength distance cancel out the hole in the 12 dB/octave response. That thread is located here:

But we have not done such an arrangement before, so we need advice.

Any suggestions for crossover programs that take distance between driver centers into account, or any advice whatsoever, is amazingly welcome.
