Hi,
I made two speakers in a D'appolito config using the Visaton W130S & DW72 drivers. The Woofers W130S are 4Ohm each & the DW72 is 8 Ohm. My plan was two 4 Ohm in series to give me 8Ohm which in turn is paralleled with 8Ohm Woofer. Woofers are bandpassed at 90Hz & 5Khz. Tweeter is HP at 5Khz. When I play them, I have Pioneer Amp, tried it with Gainclone, and various other amps, unless I use an equaliser or tone control, the speakers produce very little bass. Does anyone know what the problem is? |

Most of the "bass" I hear in music happens between 40hz and 80hz.
If you roll off your woofers at 90hz you are cutting out all the bass. |
