This is a reference to a site that some people may enjoy visiting.
The BBC (British Broadcasting Commission) has a good reputation for producing what many people regard as accurate and "neutral" loudspeakers. If you wanted to chase up their general philosophy and some of their specific speaker designs their section on research papers will prove good reading. You can down load three designs (the LS3/5a and two subsequent models) and specialised topics on low frequency response, cabinet construction, room response, sound absorbers etc. One that will interest many is a long paper on the general principles of broadcast monitors. It is No.1988/14. I found it slow to load but worth the wait.

I am not sure that the link I've put in works. I found the site by going to "JPO's Speakerbuilding Linklist" and then "Tech papers" on the left hand side. It is then found in the "B" section with a title something like "BBC R&D papers".
