So finish those projects up!!!! I know I need to get going on mine.

Where:
626 S. Dunton St.
Arlington Heights, IL 60005

Parking: North Facing side of the street only.

When: November 13th 9:00 am - 9:00pm Come and go as you please

What: We will likely start out with some equipment demos as the day starts. When it seems as though everyone has arrived, we will start with the listening tests. They will be performed in order of cost of Drivers+XO's from lowest to highest with commercial designs last (Sorry to PEB, and Jim if you are coming) Since it is not going to be a competative event, this really dosnt matter, but this is the way I prefer it to be. "Designs Of Interest" such as the Rat Shack XO Comparison can be A/B'd later in the afternoon, but of course will be thrown into the mix of auditions. There will be a few prizes there, all will be drawn for. at then end of the day (well not the end-end, but when people have to start leaving). We will either all go out for lunch or I will order somthing in. There will be refreshments provided all day long.

Speakers that will be there:

-MBOW1 Three-ways
-My set of dipoles
-RS150/TBFC set-up. I dont think I will get around to building a second box for these guys, so I think I will leave them in my family room for audition.
-Jeff Yourison's speakers (whatever he decides to bring, probably an audax MTM with 4" carbon fiber woofers and a morel tweeter, and his 8" two-way)
-John Krutke will probably be bringing a pair or two (hopefully somthing with the L18 (thats a hint john.))
-The PeeCreek
-North Creek small speaker (cant rememeber the name)
-Several other misc. less-publicized speakers that will no doubt be outstanding.
-Rat Shack Pro50II XO Comparison
-PEB's Stuff
-I think Scott Quick is coming, but I dont know if he is bringing his ScanSpeak/Vifa 3-way.

I will also have some interesting equipment for audition. A super minimalist preamp/DAC, a new Class D amplifier.

Please e-mail me if you are interested, I will start sending out group e-mails a week or so before.

The event was a lot of fun.
Just wish I could have been there the whole time.

There were a lot of well made and very interesting designs present.

Thank you Paul for hosting.

Definitely a great event. Lots of speakers to hear! Man, what a long day of listening. There was nothing that stood out as sounding bad at all, which is good - my own stuff probably was the worst, but for $9 who's complaining! Tons sounded really good. It was tough trying to tell the differences sometimes. Each was unique certainly. And I learned some things about what I look/listen for in a speaker and like, I think.

I'll be posting pics as soon as I get my computer to recognize the disc I was given, and I get the pics from the other individual I'll be hosting for.

Thank you Paul for hosting.
