is it just me? - triangle driver

Sticking the specs of this driver in winisd, it suggests a 38,6 liter enclosure (bass reflex)

But the VAS is 8 Liters!?! Does this make any sens to anybody? A friend of mine has it in a 9-10 liter enclosure with ScanSpeak 9700s, and boy do they sound amazing. Does anybody think its worth a test in a 38,6 Liter enclosure?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Qts for this is way too high to use in a bass reflex. CAD can be a wonderful thing, but judgement has to come first; the numbers the program is giving you are doo-doo.

This is better used in a closed box, sized for close-to-infinite-baffle.

actually, what's really weird is that they (triangle) sell kits using this exact driver. Here are the links to them

I'd be severely skeptical of the bass quality. I'll try to run the numbers, but I'll bet that this is one peaky alignment, with some interesting excursion problems below resonance.
