looking for good mid woofer to use with Ribbon Tweeter.

hwy guys, i already buy an AurumCantus G2Si Tweeter and i want to buy 2 Mid drivers to create an MTM center box.

the characteristics of the tweeter are
Response 2khz - 40khz /-3db
Sensitivity 96db 1w/1m
Flat 6 ohm impedance
30w power handling
Fully shielded
110mm circular black face plate

can someone tellme an good Mid to use with this kick *** Tweeter?

and one more question, if my tweeter work at 96dB but its 6ohms instead 8, like the mid, the tweeter loose 3dB?

Look at the Eton 5-880, which is used in the GR Research design that has an AC tweeter.

I may have an older model of the 4-300 laying around. The ones with the yellow kevlar cone. Used them in a small speaker setup. Sounded good.

yes i was thinking to buy the 880 for the Front speakers but i think that dont will be so good, it have 87dB of Sensivity


and my tweeter 96!

i think that dont will be an good choice low my tweeter 9 dB!

I don't think you'll get mid's with 96 dB together (it more like 94 dB, but still), specially not if you want a little bass!

Yes you will loose 3dB sensativity. Not exactly loose but when I measure a SSD2905 6ohm tweet and a peerless 8ohm midbass together I need to boost the tweeter by three decibels in the simulation program to match the measure combined response.

You also want a mtm you said so you don't have to have a woofer with a 93+ sensitivity since you will be using 2 mids for the 1 tweeter.

Doubling the cone area will gain approximately 3 dB. However, they will also have a lower impedence in parallel, so it will be even higher. I have not heard the GR Diluceo, but I doubt it would disappoint from what I have heard of it.

If you want high efficiency drivers look at PHL. I'm not sure all the places that sell them but you can try here:
http://www.e-speakers.com/ I've never bought from the company but there is plenty of information on their site that may be of use to you. The only problem with PHL, is that they may be a little over your budget.

yes they looks nice, bue its too much, 96dB is too much i need 91-93 dB because if i use 2 Mid ill get an gain of around 3-4dB.

the eton curves are great, but the sens is not so good.....
