Default Strange idea?

what could be the result?

Having bought vifa 6 1/2 " woofer (17wg or wj not sure).

My loudspeaker have broken dynaudio 17w75 under focal 5n mid and dynaudio 28af tweeter. the sub bass are handle by 10" peerless facing downward.

My idea would be to leave the dynaudio where they are and just put the vifa in the back of the speaker.

I know it strange but i wouldn't have to take of the protective grill off
( would prefer without but...kid).

Any one have tried this?

Daniel

At what frequency range will the vifa be playing?

I don't think this is a good idea...

Than I should definantly NOT do this. If you would do this below 150~300 Hz, I would find it acceptable, but that high, It wil not work. The sound is just to directional.

You "have broken dynaudio 17w75". Please think about repairing this wonderful driver.
These folks may have what you need:

I would be a good idea ( thanks for the url) but i really don't have enought time to spend fixing those dynaudio 17w75xl . ( i have an handicap child so...) . I might as well sold them to someone who does have time.

And yes they were wonderful woofer.

Thanks again, maybe someone will be happy to buy those woofer.
