MacIntosh XRT series line array speakers

I was in Pittsburgh recently and had a chance to visit Butch's Stereo in Natrona Heights. The only reason I mention this is that even after knowing I was a "hobbyist" he was still kind enough to audition some speakers, knowing full well that no greenbacks would be coming out of my DIY pockets. Nice guy/nice shop.

The long and short of this is that I had a chance to listen to the MacIntosh XRT-29's. http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/mcprod/s...&product=XRT29 . I was impressed. He also ran a set of XRT's in the rear with a sound processor.

Well, I guess my point is that these bqad boys are about 25k bucks a pair. I have to tell you that the sound was fantastic. I will also tell you that I am willing to take the "pepsi challenge" with the PE Pioneer line arrays.

Have any of you line array builders been able to compare with other LA commercial designs.
