At the moment i have this woofer sitting in the fane rear loaded folded bass horn and it is doing some serious damage, but i wanted some expert opinions on whether this woofer would be better suited in another box..
Presently it is used in a dj setup where drum n bass is the flavour, it certainly takes care of the low end, but after extensive listening you get the feeling that there is something missing from the upper end of the bass.. although i havent made up my mind on this yet.. the sub is controlled by the LC audio active filter (tunable 4th order LP) aside from this, if this is the best enclosure for this sub then im thinking along the lines of building a reflex cabinet for another 15" subwoofer i have lying around which is tuned higher to complement the present sub.. phenix gold xmax 15 subwoofer specs: Qts: 0.32 Vas: 306.7L Fs: 21.81 Hz Re: 4.06 R Le: 4.26 Xmax: 0.026m !! So you want a BR design for the PG? Try using a program like WinISD.
