Hi, I found these tweeters in my closet. I was wondering if someone could help identify them. See picture.
I have 3 pairs of the silver ones and one pair of the dome tweeters.
I understand the silver one is a JBL tweeter. The markings are:
58P60DH-01HD
C5 Wave
Made In Japan
The dome tweeters are:
E69828
281TMB
If you look closely at the picture, you will see a dimple in the dome. They both have this dimple, so i assume it is part of the design.
I am particulary interested in specifications.
Cheers,
GM.

No luck finding any info on the tweeter with a lens, but I did find the JBL tweeter on eBay:

The tweeter was used in the JBL Control 5 monitor series of speakers and the following specs are noted:
1" Pure titanium dome magnet, 8oz. 8ohm voice coil, RMS/Peak 25w/50w, SPL 1W/1 - 96dB, 2KHz~22KHz frequency response. Tweeters have an outside diameter of 3.25" .
Do those numbers seem reasonable. The efficiency seems high.

usekgb said:That efficiency is very possible for the Control 5 tweeter. As for the rest, I've never tested one.

I have played around with them and looked at the crossover used in the Control 5. My best guess would be that the efficiency is about 88 - 90 dB. 96 is way too high.
