Good afternoon all. I've just recently acquired a pair of ESS AMT-1D speakers. As I'm sure many of you are probably aware, they are a tad weak in the area of low frequency response. I'm looking into upgrading the woofers and I wanted to tap into your experience and hear suggestions as to which brands / types of woofers I should consider to really bring these speakers to life. Thank you all for your time.

You'll probably have to modify the crossover, too.

Yes, I figured on that. I'm trying to see if anyone has had any experiences using components from manufacturers such as Peerless or Scan Speak etc. in conjunction with the Heil AMT's in the ESS enclosures. Thank you.
