Default active speakers - problems?

It seems that the trend is going more and more towards active speakers - ie, speakers with built-in amplifiers. For example, you hear about active subwoofers all the time. And now many PA speakers come with built-in amplifiers, too.

Of course, there are some advantages to this system. For example, the drivers and amplifier should be well-matched. But having worked with these active speakers a bit, i've come across a particular problem - all those AC power cords! What do you do with them? How do you keep them away from the signal cables to prevent induced currents?
