Default How small can you go with a TL?

I would like to consider building TL lodspeakers for rear speakers in a suround sound application but do not want them to be obtrussive. If one looks at some of the all-in packages the rear speakers are small but not very good.
How slender can one go in a TL rear speaker arrangement with a single fullrange driver? Obviously the power handling of the drive unit may be problematic (assuming an amp of 50 to 75W) but I'm not sure how high the power handling of a small full range driver will go.
Any links to projects of this type would be appreciated.

Regards

Go to the Madisound site; there you can look at both Fostex full range drivers and cabinets designed to work with them.

Here's a nice little surround TL by Keith Kidder:

Sentinel surround

It's basically a slim tower which you can place right near your listening position - no hassles with how to mount them on the wall etc.

I'm not sure you gain much with TL in this application though, if anything at all. If it is to be of an acceptable size, then you won't get much real bass.

Here's an alternative approach - it lets you use small drivers in a small box and maximise power handling and output. I think this is what you want in HT surrounds - small but dynamic with extension to 80 Hz.

Description of the little known QB5 loudspeaker alignment.
