Behringer or Apex mic?

If you had the choice between the Apex 220 and the Behringer ECM8000 measurement mics, which one would you choose?

Apex 220, price is less, looks good in black, made in asia like the 8000.
Also the apex preamp is veryvery flat to 200kHz, recommend it.

any link for the Apex 220 ?

I couldn't imagine a mic cheaper and better than the 8000

I have the behringer, i m quite satisfied with it, but I would like to be able to measure above 20Khz too

APEX220 mic and an APA1 preamp can be found at www.apexelectronics.com

Apex 220 max SPL is 105 dB, while Behringer ecm8000 reaches 120 dB: in near field measurements with the Apex mic it means an extra care.

Can the Behringer run off 9 volt phantom, or would that starve the mike?

Power specs are +15V --> +48V for the behringer. I guess it could work with two 9V betteries is series.

Also the behringer's freq response is 15Hz - 20Khz while the Apex's is 20Hz - 20Khz
