Default What speakers are these?

I recently visited a local music outlet who had a number of DIY speakers on the wall. These speakers sounded extremely good - even in the shop environment where the were probably not correctly installed to get the best sonic performance. I'm completely new to speaker building (have not build one) but would like to start off experimenting with one of these type of designs. The problem is I have not seen normal sized speakers like these in the DIY comunity and was wondering if someone here is able to give me guidance on where to look. Let me explain what these speakers looked like...

These speakers were very simple. A 12cm diameter round cardboard tube cut flat on the one side and 45 Degrees on the other side. At the 45 Degree side a driver is installed facing outward. The length was about 60cm. These were mounted in the middle to the wall in a vertical position with a single metal arm supporting it. I'm sure these drivers inculded the tweeters as well which is disappointing now that I think of it as they probably are car speakers???

Anyway, I have heard a number of DIY speakers and these seriously impressed me. Unfortunately I can't get a photo of the speakers and the shop-owner is not too forthcomming with information. Any ideas on where I can get more info on this type of speaker?

Hi dvdwmth

Thanks for the link! They look exactly the same but was mounted high with the speaker at the bottom. (I assume this is not important.)
