Ok, many of us in the UK have the AP100 in ongoing projects, and some also bought the AP130.

The drivers are not directly interchangeable, due to box volume issues, but if you search under the driver names there may be some suggestions that will help. I lost track of those threads a while ago as I was busy with work, but there may be some useful ideas there.

I wouldn't replace the AP100 with the AP130. The AP100 just looks like a better driver, and John's x-over was designed for the AP100. Also, look at the waterfall plot of the AP130. It seems to have a pretty nasty resonance around 3k. This could cause some nastiness around the x-over frequencies and cause some extra sibilence.

Parts Express still has the AP100 in stock if you still need to get some.

Cheers,
Zach

I used to get that question 10 times a day, and the answer is almost always no. I got tired of saying no all the time, it makes me feel all negative inside.

You hit it on the head. Crossing that driver over at or above 3khz would probably give it a harsh edge for some instruments, even if I was able to get a flat response out of it. The waterfall for the Mini is almost completely -25 db down at 1 ms for most of the range. (pretty good for cheap drivers) Additionally, the AP130 has quite a different response profile, efficiency, and wider baffle which affects the BSC.

In general, woofers almost never swap out. Tweeters are a little more forgiving for swapping into designs because of fewer differences in the low end rolloff. (not the TM025F1 however, that is one of a kind)
