Default KX drivers

I'm extremely surprised nobody has already commented about this drivers for PC SB soundcards.
For define active filters "in situ" up to 6 ways in mono, "real time" it's an UNVALUABLE tool, and to find out the optimal range of any driver is EXTREMELY useful.

Has anyone used this?

They've been up for discussion several times. For a lot of people the threshold before usable is somewhat high IMHO.

I searched for "kx drivers" and got nothing, is there any specific thread that was about this?

BTW, are absolutely no difficult to use if you want to make a xover, don't know about effects and so on, but for designing a xover, I seriously think anyone with fingers and a PC can use kx in order to have a xover in less than 5 minutes.

Are you using KX's integrated crossover, or an additional software?

I have read about them on several occasions but since you found nothing (as I expected you to have searched first) I did a search as well and found no threads. Strange. Can't remember the thread name though...

on the search page, in the box that says search for exact phrase, search for:
kx drivers

The tools do work, you just have to know how to use them.

Just the kx mixer and the DSP application. 1st, 12LR, parametric, notches, Q configurable, delay, etc... everything.

It's fantastic.

I used kX as my crossover for a long time until I switched to an active outboard crossover... The only thing I would suggest for people using this driver, is to use it with an Audigy card. Live!'s have this tendency to not accept incoming levels any louder than +4dBv. The Audigy takes as loud as +22dBv, which is (conveniently enough!) the clipping point of my mixer.

If you are using them as a crossover and you drive them too hot by accident, then oops, digital clipping, and it will be preserved in high fidelity through your signal chain. Your speakers might let their smoke out, and your ears (and the ears of everyone listening!) will definitely be offended.

I still use kX in my computer; with one Audigy and 2 Live cards, I can get 8 mono channels in. (In a while I hope to go to 2 Audigy's and no Lives, so I'll have 8 channels in / 12 out, multitracking whooo.)

I have the latest 5.1 (SB0200) and get no rear output (actually no sound either from center/LFE), so I have to wait until new driver versions.
Would be any problem if I add another card (4.1 in that case) just to make a 3way?

I love the KXproject drivers, they have re-energized the loudspeaker hobby for me. For the LR-12 AND LR-24 crossovers and the parametric eq with the really nice graphic control panel, get Max's 'ufx' plugin package here - http://www.driverheaven.net/showpost...&postcount=139
And the forum top is here - http://www.driverheaven.net/forumdisplay.php?f=67

Here's a look at one of my dsp setups...
