How do you stop that annoying sound that comes through your speakers when your phone rings or you get a message?

1) keep mobile far away
2) build a chicken wire cage around all your audio equipment 3) turn mobile off 4)use a mobile connected to orange - here in aussie, they dont do that, apparently theyare always connected to at least two towers at a time or something like that, so you dont get that noise. 5) maybe there is a better solution

Is orange 3rd Generation? (3G)? my house mate is with 3 and her phone is dual 3G and CDMA. i have never heard her phone effect a stereo. I was with telstra and my phone only annoyed me if it was on the charger. with my new phone (optus) anywhere in my room and it will come through the speakers.
my setup in my room is Audax home theater speaker kit soundblaster audigity in my computer two technics sl1200 mk2 turntables vestax mixer homemade 6 channel chip amplifier (lm3886) |

dunno about 3g, but orange, and it looks like 3 aswell doesnt buzz!
