FYI,
Hi Everyone. I've spoken with Nick from Lambda Acoustics and have an opportunity to buy out his remaining inventory of parts and equipment. This is something that interests me greatly as I have always been a big fan of the Lambda woofers. I have been setup to build woofers here for some time now, but have not been able to get my parts in yet. The Lambda drivers are an excellent opportunity to get things going right away. I'm wondering what kind of interest there is in the Lambda woofers yet. I would plan to offer all previous models that were offered by Lambda, however some may be low on parts and have longer lead times than others. The majority of models would have a 2 week lead time at first, with the popular models being stocked after the inital orders are filled. The following was the standard Lambda pricing on all Lambda models.: 10" Lambda SB, PB, TD, PRO, DIPOLE, MOBILE LF, MOBILE SPL - $259 each 12" Lambda SB, PB, TD, PRO, DIPOLE, MOBILE LF, MOBILE SPL - $269 each 15" SB, PB, TD, PRO, DIPOLE, MOBILE LF, MOBILE SPL - $279 each Lambda "LE" Drivers (same models without copper faraday) 10" Lambda "LE" Drivers - $159 each 12" Lambda "LE" Drivers - $169 each 15" Lambda "LE" Drivers - $179 each If there is enough interest, I can make this happen. I may even be able to offer the drivers at the sale pricing that Lambda had towards the end. If you are interested in Lambda woofers, please post here in the thread, letting me know which drivers you would be interested in and the quantity. This will give me a better idea if this is something that I can make happen. Also, feel free to post any questions you have about the Lambda stuff here. I have not heard any Lambdas designs so i cant comment on them.
I will say the copper faraday ring only works well if you have a massive magnetic circuit. If you think you can do well then why not? |

I contacted Nick some months ago about getting his last set of unity horns and two 15" apollo drivers. So, I guess I would say I'm interested. Very sporadic contact since then, so I don't know if it' going to happen. If you do pick up the inventory in the near future, I'm definitely interested. If nothing happens in the next couple of months, I may go a different route just to get some speakers going.

For those who haven't heard, I did buy out the remaining Lambda Acoustics stock. I'm now making all of their LE and PL series woofers. I will hopefully be able to do the Apollo's soon as well.
Info is going up on www.aespeakers shortly. For now you can check on the forum there for more information. John |
