Hello all you line array gurus,
Is there some defining principle behind the placement of drivers on the baffle board? I see designs with the tweeters on the "inside" and also on the "outside" of the woofers on the stereo pair. Griffin seems to favor ribbon tweeters placed on the "inside", while other designs use cloth dome tweeters in either place. Cheers. |

Inside or outside with the tweeters doesn't matter that much, what is important is that the two sides are mirror imaged. The two lines must be placed as close as possible to each other and you should have at least a 3rd order crossover to minimize frequency overlap. The two lines should be quite close to each other in height, and if you do use domes make sure they have very narrow mounting flanges.
