Default Active Speakers to cannibalize ?

Now that manufacturers like Advent are starting to come out with wireless active speakers for under $100/pr , does anyone know of any active speakers that contain a high enough quality chip amp to make them worth buying just to cannibalize and use the guts for DIY active speakers ?

I've looked into Tripath amps before and they wanted $100 or so for an evaluation board. However, now that I know which Tripath amp is in the Sonic Impact 5066, I can't pass that up. I found some other cheaper sources.

$20.46 at http://www.efunctional.com/sit5066.html
with shipping, still under $30, not bad

Now it really makes sense to actively XO .

you wouldnt happen to know a source that sells these do you? Or even the TA2020?

If I'm reading the datasheet right i wont even need a heatsink since I won't push it past a watt or 2. (well at most a really small one)

I'm in the mood to break out the soldering iron.
