Horn Folding Advice?

I'm currently trying to do up my basshorn in acad. I have the flare done. Does anyone have any tips to help me with the folding of it?

As little as possible..............

No sharp corners , round them or use large 45 degree pieces.
Use the walls to extend the mouth as much as possible.

Method I use with Autocad is to section the horn profile into 50 segments (I do this via a spreadsheet which generates an Autocad script, drawing the 50 segements automatically).

Using the osnap to centre, you can rotate groups of segments whilst keeping the centre of each segment together. Just a matter of selecting group of segents, rotating, select another group etc. Easier to do than describe!

I've been messing with it for a few hours.. And I've got this. Please remember it's my first time folding a horn.. so don't be too hard on me Is there anything horribly wrong with the way i've done this?

I haven't put a divider in the rear chamber yet.. I want to be able to adjust the rear volume after they're built.

There is a trade-off between the least folds possible and the most accurate contour possible.
You are using too much folds IMO, making response at the upper end worsen and making the cabinet more complicated to build.

I'd suggest a simple S-shaped fold like member mikee12345 is using:

Thanks for the advice! The problem I have with using less folds, is that this is quite a big horn... in the drawing there, it's 70cm wide, 85cm deep, and 125 cm tall. I'll try experementing with less folds and see if i can get it in a similar sized box.

you're not really using the space as efficiently as possible

try firing the driver upwards making it travel across the top of the box first in a similar way to how Rog Mogale has done his 1850 Horn

Mike, just replied to your pm on PSW before seeing your post here..

Speaker is Beyma 12LX60. The areas below the baffle are also part of the back chamber, giving a volume around 30 litres (don't want to waste any space!

Before you say there is wasted space at rear corners, bottom corner is reserved for future power amp, and top corner is reserved for input connectors and future input preamp/crossover/processing
