Default NHT SuperZeros and (passive) SW-1 x-over modification??

Hi guys,

I've got some NHT SuperZeros and a passive NHT SW-1 that are powered by two bridged Rotel RB970bx's. The system sounds pretty good--my biggest complaint is that the crossover point between the SuperZeros and sub is really obvious and the bass is a little loud. I ran a couple of searches online in hopes of finding a solution to this and noticed that North Creek offers crossovers for the SuperZeros. I contacted them about modifying the SuperZeros and the sub, but they said they couldn't help me with my sub, and that I should try to get a separate amp for my sub if I wanted more control.

Before I explore that route, though, I thought I might give you guys a try, and see if any of you think that modifying the crossover on the sub (or even the Zeros) would give the result I want. I have to admit, I've never done anything like this before, but I like my 970bx's--they're powerful and they sound good--and I don't want to add another amp to take their place.

ps. I'm new. Hi! Thanks for having me at the forum.
