Default Does EBP matter for small drivers?

The Efficiency Bandwidth Product (EBP) is defined as Fs/Qes and supposedly helps in enclosure selection. Sealed for EBP<50, vented for EBP>100, and either for 50<EDP<100.

I used to only use Qts as such an indicator. Sealed for high Qts, vented for low Qts, and either for moderate Qts (~.4).

The two methods above seem to contradict each other when it comes to small drivers (i.e. 2" or 3" wide/extended range drivers). These often have high Qts values but almost always have EBP>100.

My question is, does EBP matter for these small drivers in your experience? For that matter, does Qts matter for these?

Please discuss.

Drivers with a low Qts tend to have rather large motor structures. Since small drivers tend to have small motor structures they also have high Qts figures. It is the mechanical Q (Qms) that primarily defines the enclosure requirement, which mostly has to do with the stiffness of the suspension. Qms lower than 3.0 often demands sealed to prevent overexcursion, while values above 10.0 are suitable for open back IBs or bi-polar.
