I have just purchased a new Acoustic Research ARS 500 Sunfire Tech amp...I want to build a sub woofer for my home theater.I have no clew what would do this amp justice and I can build anything anyone would suggest. If you have an enclosure to suggest and a 12 or 15 inch driver you would recommend please do so...if I build it and it does not work I promise i will not come looking for you...I just do not know what I can or should build around this new amp.
is a 180 oz magnet in a sub better than 110oz.
My room is 16 feet by 26 feet with vaulted ceilings, this will go with my yamaha large front speakers, middle and good size rears all matching...Not what everyone would chose but oK for me for the moment.
So please give me some input what you would do if this was your amp.
Any input is much appreciated.
