What suggestions do you have in replacing the 6.5 inch woofer in my old baby Advents. The foam is rotted out. Replacing the foam isn't worth the effort I 'd rather just upgrade to a new 6.5 in driver. At Meniscus I saw Chinese for $20, Vifa at $40 and Dyna like at $80. Has anyone done the same?

I'd be well sure that you don't try to replace a very low Qms acoustic suspension driver with a high Qms driver meant for a vented box. I can't speal for the Baby, but the original Advent woofer had an Fs of 19Hz yet still ran to over 2kHz. Matching the original driver specs would be critical.

go ahead and do the foam replacement, or ebay a replacement oem driver. thats the best way to go if you want to keep the advent sound.
